There is a scene that I love at the corner of Pond Parish Rd and Spring Rd in my hometown of Amherst, NH. An old
sheep farm is there with lots of rock walls and old scraggy trees. When you approach that corner in one particular direction,
you are treated to a view of a couple trees that I have always loved. Every time I would see the scene I would say to
myself how I needed to capture it on film so I could paint it. One morning, with a beautiful mist rising from the ground,
I sketched the scene on the back of my lottery ticket (I had no other paper in the car and I didn't have my camera with me).
The lottery ticket didn't win, but I sure love this painting.
