One of the things I have come to realize (actually my collectors realized and then told me) was that because of the texturing
of my painting style, my paintings take on different characteristics depending on the time of day. So, I decided to
experiment with Moonlit Skiff. This painting is stunning during the full daylight hours. The texturing captures
tiny particles of light and bounces them off, all over the painting. But in the evening, under relatively low light,
the painting becomes remarkably different. No longer do you have bouncing particles of light. Now the painting
looks even more like a moonlit scene--the light coming across the grasses and water is clearly the focus and hauntingly real.
