I caught this photograph on a trip to Maine. My first 36 x 48, with a beautiful broad gold frame, this painting
commands your attention. Exceedingly heavy from the many, many tubes of paint on this canvas, the strokes of the palette
knife in the trees pop right out of the frame at you. And you can smell the cold, fresh water as it bubbles over the
rocks. This painting became the signature piece of my solo opening on November 8, 2003.
