This image came from a photograph of the salt marshes in northern Massachusettes.
I tried to capture the vast expanse of the marshes as they finally make their way out to the ocean. The time was late
October, after the grasses have turned golden. The scene is peaceful and done with less texture than I normally paint
with---still with the palette knife and still textured, but less so. Enjoy--this one barely made it out of the house--my
wife, Judy, loves it.
