This painting came from my many hours spend around the bogs in my home town of Amherst, NH. I have a favorite running
trail--it is an old railroad bed that the town Preservation Commission owns and allows access to. It travels in and
out of forest and bog. Little known, I am often by myself on this trail with time to sit by the bogs and ponder the
wonders of nature. This painting captures the spirit of the bog, the big bright feeling of being close up to life.
