What an unforgettable experience it was--meeting you, and hearing about your journey....  Seeing your paintings was like no other viewing I've ever had....  I felt as if I were picked up and bodily and emotionally moved to the scene itself.  You give the viewer a very rare and emotional experience.  I am so delighted that your right brain insisted on "coming out" and through your own efforts you allowed your talent to come to fruition.  It's a gift to all of us.

We just bought your original, "Iris Alive", from Gallery One in Naples, FL.  It's in the entry to our bedroom suite here in Naples, which really showcases the depth of the paint, since the first view is from the side as you walk in.  Where the previous painting was lost on the wall, yours stands out as half-sculpture, half-painting.  I'm really impressed.  Your book was a delight as well.  I didn't expect to "read" it -- I never read artist biographies, frankly -- but I was drawn in and wouldn't put it down.  It was inspiring and made me want to act out my own artistic fantasies.  Congratulations on pulling it off, because we're all the better for it.

Picked up Venus on Friday.  Amazing.  I am always curious/surprised/fuzzy when a picture on line fits my minds eye in real life.  It is also interesting because the work, like [the first painting I purchased of yours, Down Past O'Malley's Pub], generates fun discussion.  I am surprised how many folks can not see the figure even after pointing it out.  ...perception is an interesting thing and is a large part of why the world can be so fun and so sad at the same time.  Venus is at the framery.  Simple gold, double round frame. Also I plan to drop another light from the ceiling to take advantage of the knife work.  Will send you photos once it is installed (click here to see).  Thanks again for sharing...I now feel like Alfred Barnes.

"Your painting, The Iris Garden, looks awesome in our house!  It hangs next to a "JalinePol" an amazing French artist we discovered at the Atlas gallery in Chicago.  Your techniques are quite similar so they look great side by side.  As always, a digital picture (click here to see) does not do either one of these paintings justice.  However, I thought you might enjoy seeing them together as exhibited in our house.  Believe me when I say they look great side by side.  Your painting has been very well received by our friends who are not always easily impressed nor quick to praise. "

From the collector after they received Hay and Thistle, "ummm.....ahemm.....errr.......I'm shocked! The painting is fantastic, fury and feeling on canvas, almost becoming a part of the viewer, leaping from its woven base to interact with any life that gets near. What an artwork! Randy, you lie when you hide behind that accountant countenance, for we know what you truly are...a painter, a mad dasher, somehow wielding a force at the end of a palette knife, yielding to direction that would send most spinning wildly out of control, like a novice down the Matterhorn. I don't know what to say. Unbelievable."

From the collector of Birch View, "We love your painting!  Terry and I like Monet's work.  (We visited Giverny, France several years ago and bought several prints of his work.)  Your work is bold and beautiful, with a touch of Monet!  Your painting will be the focal point of our new four season room!"

From the owners of Salt Marsh "...a large, lush canvas filled with color. It occupies its own wall, because it is enough. With its deep, vibrant colors, its dramatic play of sky and water, it commands attention and completes the room. A beautiful, exciting piece that has drawn nothing but favorable comments from those who've seen it."

"I got chills as I looked at your art.  Every canvas I looked at made me feel like I was in the art itself.  I was drawn to each setting for different reasons.  Feelings of happy, sad, content, excited, frustrated and peaceful are some of the things I felt as I looked carefully at each painting.  The extreme color contrasts, the depth of the subject, the three dimensional aspect that I think all paintings should have drew me into each painting.  There was one piece, Moonlight on Birches, that drew me closer than the others.  I felt like I could walk through that forest and find something on the other side that was waiting for me.

When the canvas arrived, that feeling was exactly what I thought it would be.  Beautifully overwhelming.  Randy you are truly gifted and I thank you for creating this piece of art 'just for me.'   We all choose art based on what we see and feel in the painting.  I am glad that your emotions allow you to paint for a vast audience.  You seem to be able to convey the emotion of the moment in your life that was transformed through your palette and brush."

"Hi Randy--Here is a pic of Long Pond Pine that we bought.  My photography of it leaves something to be desired but I wanted you to see the framing and the blue wall it's on.  Everyone that sees it says WOW!"
